OMG You’re So Lucky
A photocollage series highlighting the pervasive fetishization of gender- and racially-ambiguous people in advertising and fashion. Inspired by the increase of Black and Brown representation on runways post summer 2020, this series comments on the lack of inclusion found in these spaces and in American society overall. The artist juxtaposes her own image - in the style of self-portraits - with handmade paper collages of models from fashion magazines to create stylized renditions of her own experience being fetishized in the modeling industry.
